Course Description
The Functional Capacity Assessment training offered by DSI Work Solutions is an immersive educational program designed to enable healthcare professionals, human resource personnel, safety officers, and other relevant stakeholders to conduct reliable and defensible Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs).
This course equips participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to assess an individual’s capacity to perform work-related tasks in a safe and efficient manner. The program dives deep into the science and methodologies behind effective FCEs, providing a clear understanding of how to design, administer, and interpret these evaluations.

Course Objectives
The lessons in this course will prepare you to perform a standardized evaluation that is work-like in nature but meets the standards expected from referral sources.
Upon successful completion of the Live Remote Training Functional Capacity Assessment Course, the user will:
• Understand the utilization of the Functional Capacity Assessment as it relates to identifying work ability
• Be able to answer referral questions related to return to work and disability management
• Observe an actual client situation
• Complete the required documentation while observing a client
• Observe the development of the final report
• The lessons in this course will also explain DSI’s work injury management and work injury prevention approach, including the various components that lead to a safe healthy and productive workforce.
